Escape to Wingrove House. Originally built as a family home in the mid 19th century, this colonial-style house is now a relaxed and stylish destination on the high street in the beautiful and historic village of Alfriston, East Sussex. Run by a small team, offering a personal and friendly service, with airy verandas, candlelit lounge and restaurant and pretty rooms, it’s a real antidote to the rush and bustle, yet just over an hour from London.

It’s time for some refurbishments at the Wingrove and so we’re closing for a week and a bit so we can get stuck in. We are closing after supper on sunday 22nd January and will re-open, with our new menu, for dinner on wednesday 1st February.
